Petrol Hyundai Matrix: what changes with a remap

With a petrol engine the remap works through the ECU's ignition, fuelling and turbo boost tables. Re-calibrating them within safe limits releases power that is already there, rather than adding anything to the engine.

Hyundai Matrix 1.6 103 against other Matrix engines

Of the 2 petrol Matrix engines in our data, this one comes 2nd for power gain, which is 1 bhp below the Matrix petrol average of 14 bhp.

Across our whole catalogue the average petrol remap adds 27 bhp and 51 Nm, so this engine's 13 bhp and 28 Nm sits below that benchmark.
