Petrol Seat Ibiza: what changes with a remap

With a petrol engine the remap works through the ECU's ignition, fuelling and turbo boost tables. Re-calibrating them within safe limits releases power that is already there, rather than adding anything to the engine.

Seat Ibiza 1.4 85 (+2008 - 6j) against other Ibiza engines

Among the 14 petrol Ibiza engines we have figures for, the 1.4 85 (+2008 - 6j) ranks 12th for power gain, 10 bhp below the Ibiza petrol average of 24 bhp.

Across our whole catalogue the average petrol remap adds 27 bhp and 51 Nm, so this engine's 14 bhp and 29 Nm sits below that benchmark.
